DR. PREET KHANGURA, ND

Dr. Preet Khangura is a Naturopathic Physician with an integrative and functional medicine practice at Juniper Family Health in beautiful Victoria, BC Canada.  Dr. Khangura embraces one of the most important principles of naturopathic medicine – To heal the whole person through individualized treatment. His goal is to customize each treatment plan based on his patients specific health needs.  This includes involving his patients in their health journey, which follows another naturopathic principle that Dr. Khangura takes to heart – Doctor as teacher.  He whole-heartedly believes that once a person decides to take their health into their own hands, their body’s ability to heal is amplified. 

Dr. Khangura has an affinity for treating gastrointestinal conditions, and has become very well known in the medical and naturopathic medical communities for his ability in diagnosing and treating SIBO - the #1 cause of IBS.  Dr. Khangura's vast knowledge of SIBO has led him to being selected to educate over 250 doctors across Canada, on every aspect pertaining to SIBO.  To this day, he strives to not only help doctors understand this extremely common condition, but to also educate patients on why their IBS is not “just in their head” or “caused only by stress”.  Dr. Khangura enjoys nothing more than seeing his patient’s digestive concerns vanish permanently with proper assessment and treatment of SIBO.

DR. BRANDON SPLETZER, ND

Dr. Brandon Spletzer is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in British Columbia. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and he went on to become a Naturopathic Physician following his 4 year post graduate education at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in BC.

Dr. Spletzer has a very special focus on prevention and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries (mTBI) as well as digestive complaints such as Small Bacterial Intestinal Overgrowth (SIBO). Through extensive research, Dr. Spletzer has found many therapeutic targets in order to promote healing and prevent damage in the brain following a mTBI. He found through experience that SIBO was common following mTBI and that there is a strong scientific relationship between the gut and the brain - commonly referred to as the gut-brain connection. By treating and improving digestion, he found that mTBI patients were seeing improved recovery times and has since been a using this holistic approach and the gut-brain connection to help all of his patients. 

Dr. Spletzer spends free time with his wife and two children and tries to get outside and be active as often as possible. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and travelling to new places. He also is currently researching and writing a comprehensive book on brain injuries, which he hopes to complete in 2018.

DR. SAFIA KASSAM, ND

Dr. Safia Kassam is a licensed Naturopathic Physician, with a focus in digestive and hormone health. She is certified in intravenous vitamin therapy, acupuncture, Bowen therapy, and holds pharmaceutical prescription rights in BC. Dr. Kassam strives to address the root cause of your health concerns, and works with patients to optimize their health. She is passionate about educating patients, and ensuring they fully understand their current health status, and treatment options. In addition to treating SIBO, Dr. Kassam addresses a variety of conditions including hormone imbalances such as menstrual irregularities, peri-menopause, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), thyroid conditions, stress/fatigue, and weight management. Additionally, she conducts clinical screening exams such as PAP smears, pelvic, and breast exams. 

Dr. Kassam grew up playing competitive sports in the Lower Mainland, and is an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Toronto Blue Jays, and Vancouver Canucks. She also enjoys traveling, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

DR. KALEB FALK, ND

Dr. Kaleb Falk is a Naturopathic Physician with a general practice in Kamloops BC. He has a passion for motivating others to achieve their full potential in health. Patient-centered care is an essential component of his practice, and he believes that everyone has an innate potential to heal themselves when the body is provided with the proper environment. It is his role to identify and remove the obstacles that inhibit health.  He is committed to establishing and maintaining relationships based on integrity, honesty and trust. 

Dr. Kaleb has a special focus treating SIBO and other gut related conditions. He is proud to offer in-clinic testing for SIBO as one of only a handful of clinics in Canada to have a SIBO breath testing machine in the office, allowing for accurate & fast results.  He has advanced training in bio-identical hormone replacement, heavy metal chelation, Intravenous (IV) therapies, prolotherapy, neural therapy and ozone/oxidative therapies. He is certified in acupuncture and is licensed to prescribe pharmaceutical medication in order to provide the best level of care to his patients.

Dr. Kaleb truly embodies the principle Doctor as Teacher.  In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Falk was formerly a faculty instructor at both, the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and The Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.  He is passionate about teaching and empowering future health care practitioners.
